Hate it. So the message of Andor is it's ok to commit murder as long as it for the benefit of the cause. So the ends justify the means. Great Messaging Disney. That is not what Star Wars is about.

If you liked 'Rogue One', you'll likely enjoy this prequel (set five years before Rogue One). Some familiar people, places and creatures, but also some unfamiliar ones. I personally love the flashbacks to Cassian's childhood. It helps to flesh out his character and explain how he became the person that he did. It's gritty and realistic with great cinematography. Some might say it's slow, but do yourself a favour and watch the first three episodes in close succession... as they really do fit together as a movie length introduction to the series.

Great show so far, I do have problems with the Rebel's morals but I am enjoying so far!

With Andor, we are finally done with know-it-all kids, Yoda plushies, brainless tin-can robots, cardboard-looking sets, and laser guns that spit out sparks. With Andor, they have truly put in the work on a script embedded with nuance, where characters have distinct personalities and the narrative is enriched by multiple parallel storylines—both violent and political—that converge into a believable drama. And Diego Luna delivers. In a universe as vast and thoroughly explored as Star Wars, it is rare to find a production that far exceeds expectations, especially considering whose hands the franchise is in right now. This iteration is a sci-fi masterpiece and an exceptionally well-executed political espionage thriller that redefines what a story within this saga can be. From the very first episode, lightsabers and the omnipresent powers of the Force are cast aside. Here, the magic lies in the world-building—gritty and realistic—where the oppression of the Empire feels tangible and suffocating. The series plunges us into the lives of ordinary people, those suffering under the Imperial boot who are gradually pushed toward rebellion. Luna reprises his role as Cassian, delivering a spellbinding performance. We watch him evolve from a selfish, troubled individual into a reluctant leader of the burgeoning Rebel Alliance. Yet, it is not just the protagonist who shines; the supporting cast is phenomenal. Stellan Skarsgård as Luthen Rael is a revelation—a complex, morally ambiguous character whose motivations are as profound as they are dangerous. Every single character, no matter how small the role, feels authentic and vital to this magnificent project.
