7/10
*House of Sayuri (2024)* delivers an engaging blend of supernatural horror and absurd comedy, balancing an emotionally driven story about loss and revenge with well-paced character development and an unexpectedly clever tonal shift. While some CGI effects lessen the impact of key scenes, the film's distinctive humor, solid atmosphere, and meaningful themes make it stand out from conventional haunted-house stories. Overall, it is an entertaining and memorable watch for viewers looking for a fresh take on horror with a surprising comedic edge. BY ALUNAUWIE
